Are you a passionate quality leader ready to raise the bar for food safety, compliance, and continuous improvement and move into this Assistant Technical Manager role? This is your opportunity to take ownership, driving quality excellence across a diverse product portfolio for leading brands and customers.

What you'll be doing as the Assistant Technical Manager:

  • Lead and inspire the QA team - implementing best-in-class quality systems, smart working practices, and continuous skills development.
  • Own and maintain site-specific Quality Management Systems, including HACCP, TACCP, allergen control, GMP, internal auditing, and non-conformance management.
  • Act as the technical lead for all external audits, confidently managing customer Code of Practice (COP) compliance and delivering gold-standard audit outcomes.
  • Drive root cause analysis and implement robust corrective actions, ensuring clear and proactive communication with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, NPD, and Group Quality teams to deliver seamless new product launches and consistent manufacturing quality.
  • Monitor and trend customer complaints and KPI performance, creating measurable improvement programmes to reduce non-conformance and boost customer satisfaction.
  • Foster a safety-first culture, ensuring food safety and health & safety remain at the heart of daily operations.
  • Contribute to business quality initiatives to build a culture of shared learning and continuous improvement.

What you'll need:

  • Proven track record in a technical or quality lead role in a food manufactruing environment is essential
  • Experience is managing direct reports
  • Proven track record with customer codes of pratice
  • Own transport
