Manufacturing Production Team Lead Northampton £30,000 - £35,000 DOEMonday – Friday 40hoursWe have partnered with a growing business in Northampton, who are looking for an experienced production senior to join their new in-house design and manufacturing team. You will effectively oversee the production teams, optimise processes, ensuring high quality standards and production deadlines.  Key Duties:
  • Oversee daily production operations, ensuring timely and quality completion of orders.
  • Manage the end-to-end production process, coordinating with design, procurement, and logistics.
  • Lead and develop a team of upholsterers and production staff, fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Implement and enforce quality control measures to meet company standards.
  • Manage inventory, ensuring efficient material usage and maintaining stock levels.
  • Develop production schedules and prioritise workloads to meet deadlines.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
The Ideal Candidate:
  • A minimum of 2+ years in managing production teams and improving manufacturing processes.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in production scheduling, inventory management, and quality control.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma 
Desirable:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • Experience in upholstery or furniture manufacturing, or knowledge of upholstery techniques, materials, and furniture manufacturing processes.
  • Proficient in upholstery techniques, materials, and equipment, including CNC and sewing processes.
