Scope:

Accountable for the profitable management and daily operations of the Manufacturing Plant, including responsibility for health and safety, overall quality, and compliance to ensure the site meets EFP customer specifications and expectations. Responsible for achieving key operational business objectives at the Manufacturing Plant, supporting and driving the Hoshin strategy and corporate initiatives.


Key Responsibilities:

Health & Safety

  • Make safety as the top priority, striving for zero LTAs and accidents.
  • Lead by example and ensure that all employees/visitors/contractors fully understand and observe and adhere to all aspects of the Companys Health and Safety policies and procedures
  • Ensure compliance against all HSE standards and that issues raised are addressed and dealt with in a timely manner.
  • Encourage a strong health & safety culture with compliance to policy, procedure and PPE
Safety Equipment & Facilities
  • Responsible for the delivery of a motivated, continuous improvement culture throughout all plant teams ensuring the smooth running and continual improvement of the day-to-day plant activities to support profitability and growth.
  • Ensure that plant capacity is maintained by overseeing the companys production equipment, including software and hardware requirements ensuring ppm maintenance schedules are kept and relationships with external service providers are maintained.
  • To ensure compliance is maintained in line with the QMS
Operations
  • Providing information to set operational budgets and meeting set targets
  • Seeking the necessary resources to achieve production and quality targets, including infrastructure and work environment.
  • Management, organisation and staffing of site operations.
  • To assess competency and training needs of employees and to evaluate the effectiveness of the training in terms of increased competency.
  • To jointly be responsible with the Quality Manager for the internal communication of the performance of the QMS processes.
  • Accountable for the achievement of formal Hoshin objectives set on an annual basis and personal objectives that may be set on an ad-hoc basis.
  • Lead and support on all Employee Relations, creating an environment where employees have the opportunity to strive and grow.
  • Ensure effective team communication and collaboration through weekly and monthly meetings.
  • Complete all KPI records and reports, producing monthly reports showing progress made and concerns highlighted and addressed
  • Action improvements from employee surveys and customer complaints, driving continuous improvement

Housekeeping
  • Ensure the plant controls the working environment and is carrying out 5s inspections to maintain high standards for all employees

Qualifications:
  • Degree in related engineering discipline or equivalent experience
  • NEBOSH qualification (preferred)
  • Leadership qualification or relevant experience (essential)

Hours of work:
  • 37.5 hours per week
