Fabricator - The Role:
As a Fabricator at Kilnbridge, you'll be responsible for executing high quality fabrication tasks to support our ongoing and upcoming projects. This is a great opportunity to be part of a forward thinking team, working on some of the UK's most challenging and rewarding construction projects.
Fabricator - Key Responsibilities:
- Fabricate metal structures based on engineering drawings and project specifications
- Use metalworking techniques such as cutting, drilling, and assembling materials to meet project requirements
- Inspect and prepare materials for fabrication, ensuring they meet set standards
- Collaborate with fitters, draftsmen, and supervisors to deliver high-quality work
- Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with safety regulations, including wearing PPE and maintaining safe working practices
- Perform quality assurance checks on fabricated structures
- Operate fabrication equipment and machinery, ensuring regular maintenance and reporting
any defects
- Assist with estimating material and labour costs
Fabricator - About You:
- City & Guilds NVQ in Metalwork or an equivalent recognised qualification
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in steelwork fabrication
- Ability to perform a multi-step fabrication test as part of the interview process
- Strong knowledge of fabrication safety standards and practices
- Experience in reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Ability to follow instructions precisely, use initiative, and solve problems effectively
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with other teams
