Job Title: Plumbing & Heating Assessor

Position: Part-Time/Full-Time

We are currently seeking a dedicated Skills Coach specialising in Plumbing and Gas to join our dynamic team in Northampton. This role is ideal for a skilled professional who is passionate about imparting practical skills and knowledge in the plumbing and gas industry. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in mentoring and training students, preparing them for successful careers with robust practical and theoretical foundations.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Deliver hands-on training and theoretical knowledge in plumbing and gas to apprentices and students.
  • Develop and implement engaging and effective training programs that meet the needs of learners and comply with industry standards.
  • Assess and evaluate the skills and progress of students, providing constructive feedback and personalized coaching.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry practices, regulations, and technologies to ensure the training provided is current and relevant.
  • Collaborate with educational staff and industry partners to enhance the training program and ensure it aligns with market needs.
  • Manage training resources and facilities, ensuring a safe and conducive learning environment.
  • Support students in achieving their qualifications and preparing for employment in the plumbing and gas industry.

The Successful Assessor will have the following:

  • Hold a relevant vocational qualification at Level 3 or above.
  • Already hold (or be willing to work towards) a Level 4 teaching qualification.
  • Have up-to-date knowledge and experience of working in Industry.
  • Ideally hold an Assessor qualification
  • Need a full driving licence and your own transport to effectively visit employers and apprentices on site.
  • Have thorough knowledge of forms of assessment to identify individual needs.
  • Have experience working in accordance with qualification and assessment frameworks and dealing with a range of external bodies.
