As part of our continuous growth, we are looking for a skilled and experienced Mechanical Production Technician to join our Engineering team at our well-equipped rolling stock depot.

 

Your Responsibilities:

  • Perform challenging mechanical production duties, including gearboxes, mod repairs, and Production of rolling stock assets.
  • Support and complete repairs, modifications, and commissioning within our state-of-the-art rolling stock depot.
  • Independently modify allocated rolling stock to meet the requirements of our modification and production plan.
  • Follow specified engineering instructions and drawings, using the provided methods and tools.
  • Undertake any other duties as needed within the scope of the modification and production work.

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Ability to accurately complete all records of actions and operations following procedures.
  • Sound knowledge of Health & Safety, including biohazards, manual handling, and Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH).
  • Proficient in the use of a laptop for diagnostic purposes.
  • Understand and interpret technical publications.
  • Ability to maintain and care for tools, equipment, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Use a laptop for diagnostic fault-finding and rectification purposes.
