Mobile HGV Technician

Interaction Northampton have been requested to seek out a talented Mobile HGV Technician to cover Northamptonshire and the West Midlands on a full time and permanent contract to start with immediate effect, however, they will wait for the right person.

The ideal candidate for this role:

• WILL be a qualified and/or time served HGV Technician
• SHOULD have solid Mobile Fitter / HGV Tech / HGV Mechanic experience
• MUST have a strong mechanical and electrical knowledge as well as familiarity with hydraulic systems
• CAN complete routine maintenance, diagnose faults, perform repairs, carry out servicing including hydraulic, mechanical and electrical systems, provide on-site breakdown assistance
• SHALL have a solid employment history in commercial vehicles 
• WOULD have experience with heavy plant, forklift, HGV, or agricultural machinery (desirable)
• WILL have their own tools - the company do offer insurance to cover your personal tools
• COULD hold a CSCS card and have HS2 experience
• MAY be able to evident NVQ L2 or higher in service, maintenance and repair
• SHOULD be experienced in working with all size vehicles from Vans to HGVs and Road Sweepers
• MIGHT have a Class 1 Driving Licence (Cat C+E)
• WILL be used to big heavy kit

Your sole purpose will be to ravel to job sites to assist with breakdowns or offer support across Northamptonshire and the West Midlands, your week will be c. 50 hours and you will have full autonomy (job and finish) of your week. For example, if you're jobs are completed for an early finish on Friday - you'd enjoy extra hours over the weekend to spend with friends and family.

Overtime will be paid at the prevailing rate + £2ph uplift. 

You'd be joining a family run business who understand flexibility is key for a good working relationship.

I've placed 4 Mobile staff with this company to include 1 HGV Technician and 3 Mobile Plant Fitters within the last 3 years. All of which are still in contact and have made remarks such as "best thing I ever did joining them" or "they don't rule with an iron fist" When joining a company within commercial vehicles, it is important you find the right employer!

This vacancy is not only suited to an experienced HGV Technician but a 'person fit' also. Whilst skills and knowledge are important, the right person will have a can do attitude, be confident and approachable, a team player and punctual.

Interviews will be immediate, you'll conduct a telephone interview with myself in the first instance. If successful, you'll be put forward for an interview with the hiring manager at one of the local depots.

You will be allocated a fully kitted out van, fuel card, laptop and mobile phone.
