We're working with a leading contractor delivering high-quality educational facilities across the UK, and we're looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of new build and refurbishment projects in the schools and higher education sector.

Role Overview

As Project Manager, you'll be responsible for overseeing the full project lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery, budget control, and compliance with education sector standards. You'll manage site teams, subcontractors, and liaise with clients and stakeholders to ensure smooth execution.

Key Responsibilities for a project Manager

  • Lead the delivery of school and university construction projects
  • Manage site operations, subcontractors, and suppliers
  • Ensure compliance with DfE and education sector regulations
  • Monitor budgets, timelines, and quality standards
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and local authorities
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting

Requirements

  • Proven experience managing educational construction projects
  • References
  • Proven work with Tier 1 and 2 contractors
  • Strong understanding of DfE guidelines and safeguarding requirements
  • SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certifications
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
