About the Role:

We are seeking adedicated and passionate Secondary English Teacherto join our dynamic English department. The successful candidate will inspire students in Key Stages 3 and 4,.You will be responsible for delivering engaging, curriculum-aligned lessons that foster a love for English literature and language, while supporting student progress and achievement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons that meet the needs of all learners

  • Prepare students for GCSE examinations, ensuring strong outcomes

  • Use assessment and feedback to inform teaching and track student progress

  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment

  • Contribute to the wider school community through pastoral responsibilities and extracurricular activities

  • Participate in departmental meetings, planning, and CPD

Candidate Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK

  • A degree in English or a related subject

  • Proven experience teaching English at secondary level

  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills

  • Strong communication and organisational abilities

  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students
