Simply Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our supportive team. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and the SENCo to provide high-quality support to students with a range of learning needs, helping them to achieve their full potential both academically and personally.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting pupils to make good progress in all areas of the curriculum
  • Help pupils with SEN to take part in school events and activities
  • Giving pupils the confidence to work independently and positively with other pupils
  • Promoting pupil wellbeing and encouraging pupils to express themselves
  • Working within a supportive team

Requirements:

  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills (GCSE English & Maths or equivalent).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A calm, patient, and caring approach when supporting young people.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and take direction from teaching staff.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Experience working with secondary-aged students or within a school setting.
  • Knowledge of SEND strategies or specific learning difficulties (e.g. autism, dyslexia, ADHD).
  • Relevant qualifications such as Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant Certificate or equivalent.
