About The RoleAre you a driven and confident person, who relishes the challenge of working with local communities and groups who seldom seek support. We are looking for a person who is determined to make a difference to the lives of people living with dementia across Northamptonshire.You will be experienced in engaging and working with communities and a confident communicator with the ability to network with people across all levels. You will be able to deliver community specific workshops and awareness sessions, working collaboratively with both internal and external colleagues to reduce health inequalities across the county.You will be able to manage your own projects and a small team of community volunteers, prioritising as you go. Whilst this is a homeworking role the majority of your time will be working out within the community, and you will be required to regularly travel across Northamptonshire and must live within the county.What you’ll focus on:

Identify, engage, build and nurture relations with key stakeholders and influencers in each local community to ensure that dementia is a local priority.
Develop an excellent understanding of the issues that prevent communities from engaging in dementia services and supporting the development of services to make them as inclusive as possible
Develop and deliver community specific workshops and awareness sessions that make a positive impact for people living with dementia in their community.
Recruitment and management of community volunteers to enhance and extend the reach of dementia services.
