Job Title: Learning Support Assistant 

Position: Part-Time/Full-Time

Role type: Temporary 

Location: Northampton

Rate: £13-£15 per hour

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
  • Provide tailored support to students with additional learning needs, both in classroom settings and through one-on-one sessions.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of EHCP's in collaboration with teachers and other educational professionals.
  • Facilitate access to learning resources and adapt materials to meet the specific needs of students.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of students, providing feedback to teachers and parents as required.
  • Support students with organizational and study skills, and encourage their independence and self-confidence.
  • Assist in maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
  • Participate in training and development sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge in learning support.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience in a learning support role within an educational setting, preferably in a college environment.
  • A qualification in education, special needs education, or a related field is highly desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students, staff, and parents.
  • A compassionate and patient approach, with a commitment to enhancing student learning experiences and outcomes.
  • Ability to work flexibly and adaptively in a fast-paced educational environment.
  • Enhanced DBS check or willingness to undergo this procedure.
