A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Northamptonshire is seeking a compassionate and committed 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a child with Special Educational Needs on a part time basis.

About the Role:This rewarding position involves working closely with a pupil who requires individualised support to access the curriculum and develop their confidence and independence. You will work in collaboration with the class teacher, SENCO, and wider support team to create a nurturing and effective learning environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing focused 1:1 support tailored to the pupil's specific needs

  • Assisting in delivering adapted learning activities and supporting behaviour management

  • Encouraging social interaction and emotional development

  • Maintaining accurate records of progress and liaising with parents and professionals as appropriate

About You:

  • Experience working with children with SEN, particularly in a primary school setting, is desirable

  • Patient, adaptable, and committed to inclusive education

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential for this role
