About the Role:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher to join a supportive and inclusive school environment in Northamptonshire. You will be working with pupils aged 4-17 who have a range of complex needs including autism, SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health), and communication difficulties.


You'll be responsible for:

  • Planning and delivering individualised, sensory-rich lessons tailored to EHCP outcomes.
  • Using tools such as PECS, Makaton, and other communication aids.
  • Collaborating with support staff, therapists, and families to ensure holistic development.
  • Creating a nurturing classroom environment that promotes independence, trust, and enjoyment.
  • Monitoring progress and contributing to review meetings and reports.


What You'll Need to Succeed:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in SEN or specialist provision.
  • A genuine passion for supporting children and young people with additional needs.
  • Strong resilience, patience, and creativity in the classroom.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit a variety of learning styles.
  • Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
