Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Northampton | 40,000 | Mon-Fri (8am-4pm)

Are you a multi-skilled maintenance engineer who enjoys working in a fast-paced production environment and takes pride in keeping heavy industrial machinery running safely and efficiently?

We're recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established business based in Northampton. You'll be responsible for planned and reactive maintenance across a range of industrial processing equipment, playing a key role in maximising uptime and supporting production demands.

What you'll be doing:

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs across site machinery
  • Perform mechanical fitting, assembly, repairs, and component replacement
  • Complete electrical fault-finding, diagnostics, and root cause analysis (3-phase systems)
  • Inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot heavy-duty processing equipment
  • Work closely with production teams to minimise downtime and disruption
  • Carry out machinery modifications, adjustments, and improvements
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organised working environment
  • Uphold and promote high Health & Safety standards at all times

What we're looking for:

  • Proven experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills
  • 3-phase electrical experience (essential)
  • 18th Edition qualification (preferred)
  • Proactive, positive attitude with a focus on reliability and continuous improvement
  • Flexible approach to duties based on business needs
