A fantastic opportunity for a skilled maintenance engineer to join a small but supportive team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role blends planned maintenance, reactive repairs, and site improvement work, giving you the chance to work hands-on and contribute directly to operational success.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct planned maintenance inspections and preventative maintenance tasks using the site's CMMS.
Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults across a variety of plant equipment.
Maintain and repair motors, pumps, conveyors, packaging equipment, and cleaning systems.
Perform electrical fault finding, including emergency lighting and control systems.
Assist with general site and utilities maintenance, liaising with contractors when needed.
Support continuous improvement initiatives such as 5S, root cause analysis, and problem-solving.
Provide production teams with machine care support and basic maintenance.
Ensure compliance with health & safety, quality, and food safety standards at all times.
The ideal candidate will have:
Time-served or recognised engineering qualifications.
Current 17th/18th Edition electrical qualification.
Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
Experience within food manufacturing or FMCG environments (preferred).
Self-motivation, flexibility, and attention to detail.
