We are seeking a skilled and experienced FLT Flexi Driver ( Bendi )  to undertake general warehouse duties in Northampton. This is a friendly warehouse team that handle high volume of customer orders and you will be an important part of this team helping to make sure that orders will be completed on time.

As a FLT Flexi Driver (Bendi),  You will be responsible for operating a forklift to move, stack, and organize materials within the warehouse. Your attention to detail and commitment to safety will be crucial in ensuring the efficient and accurate movement of goods.

Duties of a FLT Flexi Driver (Bendi) 
You will be working as part of a team and will be responsible for:

Core Responsibilities:

  • Safe Operation of Flexi/Bendi Forklift:
    Operate a Flexi (Bendi) forklift truck safely and efficiently in a busy warehouse environment, adhering to all health & safety regulations.

  • Loading & Unloading:
    Load and unload goods from lorries, trailers, and containers using the Flexi truck.

  • Stock Movement & Storage:

    • Move stock to and from designated storage locations in narrow aisles.

    • Stack and retrieve goods from racking systems with precision.

    • Place products in the correct storage bays following warehouse layout plans.

  • Order Picking:
    Pick items using the forklift as per order requirements, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Pallet Wrapping & Labelling:

    • Wrap and label pallets for dispatch.

    • Ensure goods are properly secured and labelled.

  • Stock Checks & Inventory Control:

    • Participate in stock counts and cycle checks.

    • Report discrepancies or damaged goods to supervisors.

  • General Warehouse Duties:

    • Assist with manual handling, packing, and general housekeeping when required.

    • Keep the warehouse clean, tidy, and free from hazards.

  • Daily Equipment Checks:
    Conduct daily pre-use checks on the Flexi truck and report any faults or issues immediately.

Skills and requirements:

  • Valid Flexi/Bendi Forklift Licence

    • Must be accredited (RTITB, ITSSAR, or equivalent) and in date.

  • Experience Operating Flexi/Bendi Trucks

    • Minimum 6–12 months recent experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.

  • Narrow Aisle Handling Expertise

    • Confident navigating tight spaces and high racking systems using a Flexi truck.

  • Good Understanding of Warehouse Operations

    • Knowledge of goods-in/goods-out, inventory control, and stock rotation.

  • Strong Attention to Detail

    • Accurately pick, place, and label stock to maintain order accuracy.

  • Health & Safety Awareness

    • Adheres to warehouse safety protocols and performs daily equipment checks.

  • Physical Fitness

    • Comfortable with manual handling and being on your feet for long periods.

  • Good Communication Skills

    • Able to follow instructions and communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.

  • Basic IT or Scanner Use (Desirable)

    • Experience using handheld scanners or basic warehouse management systems.

Our client is a goods distributor that is looking for a FLT Driver to join their team on a temporary basis, with the opportunity to go permanent for the right person. This client has a large warehouse that has facilities such as a canteen, smoking area, free car parking and locker room.
