Impact Recruitment are working with a highly respected manufacturing company based in Northampton, who are looking to appoint experienced TIG Welders to join their skilled production team.

This is an excellent opportunity to work within a forward-thinking manufacturer. The role involves light and heavy gauge TIG welding, working from engineering drawings, and delivering projects from start to finish to the highest standards.

Location: Northampton | On-site
Hours: Day Shift
Pay: 17 - 18 per hour (depending on experience)



Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out TIG welding on stainless steel
  • Weld material thicknesses between 1.2mm - 3.0mm
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings to manufacture precise components.
  • Perform light gauge TIG welding with back purging.
  • Undertake heavy gauge fabrication as required.
  • Use fabrication tools such as grinders, orbital sanders, and saws.
  • Apply rolling and other forming techniques.
  • Measure using vernier calipers and tape measures to tight tolerances.
  • Self-check work to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Support the delivery of customer projects and new developments.


Requirements:

  • Proven TIG welding experience (essential).
  • Strong fabrication skills across both light and heavy gauges.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and quality awareness.
  • Ability to work independently and from engineering drawings.
  • Flexible and adaptable to support a variety of projects.
  • Ability to commute to Northampton or plan to relocate before starting work.
