Estimator - Civil Construction and Groundworks - Ebbsfleet area
We are currently looking for an experienced Civils Estimator to join a leading civil engineering contractor in Ebbsfleet. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a variety of infrastructure and groundworks projects with a business known for its quality delivery and strong pipeline of work.
You'll play a key role in pricing tenders, preparing detailed cost estimates, and contributing to winning new business.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for civil engineering projects
Analyse drawings, specifications, and other documentation
Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers for pricing
Attend pre-tender and client meetings as required
Support the bid team in tender submissions
Identify risks and opportunities within the project scope
Maintain accurate cost databases and tender records
Requirements:
Proven experience as an estimator within civil engineering or groundworks
Strong understanding of tendering processes and cost planning
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Proficiency in industry-standard estimating software
Highly organised with strong attention to detail
