Order Picker/FLT Reach Driver
Pay Rate: £13.21 per hour Location: Hyde, Stockport
Overview: We are assisting a long-established leader in the leading outdoor sector. With over 40 years in the market and an extensive range of accessories and spares, our client has built a one-stop warehouse for everyday requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Pick and process orders using printed order sheets.
Retrieve inventory from shelves, ensuring items are accurately selected for delivery.
Pack orders efficiently, including shrink-wrapping contents onto pallets.
Maintain up-to-date inventory records to support smooth warehouse operations.
Carry out additional tasks as directed by the Warehouse Manager (full on-site training provided).
Working Hours and Conditions:
Monday - Thursday: 8:00 am - 4:45 pm
Friday: 8:00 am - 3:45 pm
39-hour work week, with potential overtime during busy periods (including early starts at 07:00 am)
Bank Holiday work is compensated at double time
Two 15-minute breaks and one 45-minute lunch break are provided
Essential Requirements:
Proven experience in warehouse operations and order picking
Excellent literacy, numeracy, and communication skills
Strong attention to detail and the ability to remain on your feet for extended periods
Must hold valid Counter Balance and Reach Truck FLT licences
Computer literate with the ability to quickly learn bespoke systems
Capability to independently handle heavy and awkward loads
A proactive team player with the potential to lead during high-pressure periods
Willingness to work overtime during peak seasons, including early starts (07:00 am) on weekdays
