Finance Assistant - Hybrid - up to £32k

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Assistant / Bookkeeper to join our clients growing team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily reconciliation of client and company bank accounts (regulated and unregulated)
  • Timely processing of client funds, supplier payments, and fee transactions
  • Updating accounting software (currently QuickBooks Online) daily with all financial transactions
  • Managing purchase invoices, employee expenses, and supplier records
  • Assisting in payroll processing, pension contributions, and regulatory submissions
  • Supporting VAT returns, management accounts preparation, and year-end accounts
  • Handling accounting queries from internal teams and suppliers
  • Reviewing and improving finance systems and processes

About You:

  • AAT qualified (or working towards) or similar
  • Previous experience as a Finance Assistant or Bookkeeper
  • Good knowledge of accounting principles, FRS102, and financial reporting
  • Strong Excel and IT skills (SharePoint, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Highly organised, detail-focused, and process-driven
  • Strong communication skills and able to work with confidential information
