We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Finance Assistant who can efficiently handle financial and accounting tasks in our Accounting & Finance department. The role, based in Warrington, requires proficiency in financial processes, including bookkeeping and procurement administration.

Description

  • Support the Finance team with managing the accounts payable and receivable processes.
  • Managing records and receipts
  • Reconciling daily, monthly and yearly transactions
  • Paying expenses and credit card transactions.
  • Procurement of items, including traceability of purchasing to ISO9001 and finance requirements, returns where required, and tracking delivery status of items through to receipt.
  • Working with suppliers to set up accounts for purchasing where appropriate, working within delegated authority for purchasing.
  • Scheduling meetings, setting agendas and recording minutes and actions.
  • Tracking bank deposits and payments
  • Ensuring financial documents are accurate and up to date

Profile

A successful Finance Assistant should have:

  • Previous experience in a similar position
  • Finance and procurement experience would be beneficial.
  • A strong understanding of financial and accounting principles
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Good organisational and time management skills.
