North West | £40 per hour | Flexible WorkingAre you an experienced and passionate Qualified Social Worker ready for your next challenge? We’re seeking dedicated professionals to join the Childrens Services for a local authority in the North West – offering competitive pay, flexible hybrid working, and a supportive, collaborative environment. you will manage a diverse caseload of children, covering Child Protection, Child in Need, and sometimes Children within Proceedings. You will attend to Section 47 enquiries, complete single assessments, risk assessments, and parenting assessments. Working collaboratively with other professionals and agencies, including the Police and Education Services, you will meet the identified needs of children, young people, and their families. Additionally, you will complete work under the Public Law Outline (PLO) and prepare court reports and assessments. The level of involvement in proceedings can be discussed.?? About the RoleJoin a dynamic Children & Families service where your experience will truly make a difference. You’ll be part of a team of 6 Social Workers and 1 Family Support Worker, working cases from initial referral through to care proceedings.Your role will include:? Managing a varied caseload? Completing in-depth assessments of need and risk? Creating and reviewing multi-agency care plans? Working closely with partner agencies to deliver effective interventions? Supporting children and families to achieve the best possible outcomesFlexible working: 3 days in the office, 2 days remote. Duty day requires office attendance.?? About YouWe’re looking for someone who is:
  • Registered with Social Work England
  • Experienced (2+ years) in Child Protection, CIN, or similar roles
  • Skilled in building strong relationships with families and professionals
  • Knowledgeable in legislation, safeguarding, and best practice
  • Confident in court work and multi-agency collaboration
  • Passionate about improving children’s lives and achieving lasting results
