About the Role:
We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Yard Operative to join our team at a leading chemical manufacturing facility in Cheshire. Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised yard environment in line with site safety and environmental policies.

  • Load and unload vehicles using a forklift truck (FLT).

  • Handle raw materials, packaging, and finished products safely and efficiently.

  • Support the operations team with general yard and plant duties as required.

  • Conduct routine inspections of yard equipment and report any defects.

  • Ensure compliance with COMAH (Control of Major Accident Hazards) regulations where applicable.

Essential Requirements:

  • Valid FLT licence (Counterbalance or Reach preferred).

  • Previous experience in an industrial or manufacturing yard environment.

  • Strong understanding of health & safety practices.

  • Good communication skills and a proactive approach to work.

Desirable:

  • Experience working on a COMAH-regulated site.
