Modular Platforms Technical project Manager | 6 month contract | 609pd inside IR35 | Nottingham - Hybrid/Fully Remote



Purpose of Role

Join a multi-year Transformation Programme spanning this global FS business. Responsible for project managing key delivery workstreams with significant exposure to senior stakeholders, including C-suite.



Main Responsibilities & Accountabilities



Project Management

  • Deliver projects/workstreams within agreed time, budget, scope, quality, and change control parameters.
  • Define, source, and manage resources; adjust as needed to meet objectives.
  • Develop accurate plans and budgets; identify efficiency improvements; report significant variances to senior management.
  • Manage issues, risks, dependencies, and scope changes; ensure timely stakeholder communication.
  • Conduct regular outcome reviews with delivery teams and senior stakeholders.


Operational

  • Establish project/workstream assurance as a formal discipline.
  • Identify issues using standard assurance techniques (e.g., audits, plan reviews); propose remedial actions.
  • Ensure sufficient capability and capacity for assurance reviews.
  • Provide regular performance reports and portfolio health updates.
  • Build confidence in delivery against time, cost, and quality targets.
  • Maintain ongoing project/workstream assurance.


Customer

  • Champion a culture aligned with business goals and consumer advocacy.
  • Keep client/consumer outcomes central to decision-making.
  • Promote excellent service and exceed expectations.


People Management (No Direct Reports)

  • Support people management through assignment oversight.
  • Drive high performance by setting stretching objectives.
  • Act as a role model with a positive, can-do attitude.


Regulatory, Governance & Control

  • Adhere to regulatory requirements and escalate issues promptly.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks.
  • Ensure team awareness of regulatory obligations and company policies.
  • Promote understanding of the operating model and responsibilities.


Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Strong project management skills: stakeholder management, contracts, scope, schedule, costs, quality, HR, communications, risk, procurement, integration.
  • Experience managing technical projects and working with technical SMEs.
  • Experience with technical modular platform projects.
  • Solid change management capabilities.
  • Effective leadership, coordination, motivation, negotiation, and conflict resolution.
  • Strong relationship management and trust-building.
  • Understanding of business needs and technical constraints.
  • Analytical and conceptual thinking for short- and long-term planning.
  • Financial literacy for forecasting and managing budgets.
  • Ability to influence and build productive internal/external relationships.
  • Advocate for cultural improvement, discipline, and communication.
  • Promote innovation and delivery quality.
  • Operate effectively at both strategic and operational levels.
  • Proven ability to define and execute project vision, mission, values, and objectives.
  • Strong project governance and risk/issue resolution.
  • Skilled in resource planning and management.
  • Proficient in project management tools and methodologies.
  • Strong knowledge of systems, desktop applications, business operations, and relevant legislation.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
