Our client is a key supplier to some of the UK's premium retailers and foodservice outlets. With a reputation for quality products and a high-performing engineering team, they're now looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join their site in Cheshire.

This isn't just about keeping machines running, it's about being part of a team that thrives on innovation, problem-solving and continuous improvement.

What you'll be doing:

  • Carrying out planned, preventative and reactive maintenance across production and packaging equipment
  • Responding quickly to breakdowns to minimise downtime
  • Diagnosing and repairing faults across electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, automation and instrumentation systems
  • Supporting production teams with machine changeovers and setups
  • Manufacturing or repairing parts when needed
  • Recording all maintenance work and contributing to CI projects
  • Always promoting and upholding the highest Health & Safety standards

About you:

  • Time-served apprenticeship or equivalent
  • Recognised engineering qualification (mechanical/electrical)
  • Previous maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment (food/FMCG a bonus)
  • Strong electrical fault-finding and analysis skills
  • Proactive, flexible and detail-focused approach
  • Confident communicator and genuine team player
