Food Technology Teacher – Secondary School (Endon)

Essential Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) (essential)
  • Proven experience teaching Food Technology to KS3 and KS4
  • A strong understanding of the Design & Technology curriculum
  • High standards of planning, behaviour management, and pupil progress tracking
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons in Food Preparation and Nutrition
  • Prepare pupils for practical assessments and written components of KS4 qualifications
  • Promote safe working practices and ensure hygiene, health, and safety standards are upheld
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely feedback and interventions
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the DT department to develop curriculum content
  • Contribute to wider school life including enrichment, clubs, or open evenings.

Qualifications
