Are you a skilled mathematical modeller with a passion for radar systems and solving complex technical challenges? My client, a leader in advanced defence technology, is seeking a Senior Radar Systems Mathematical Modeller to join their dynamic team on the Isle of Wight. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on cutting-edge radar technologies that shape the future of defence capabilities.

What you'll be doing:

  • Developing and evolving mathematical models and simulations to support high-performance radar systems
  • Identifying system enhancements through modelling, and proposing innovative algorithmic solutions
  • Supporting multi-disciplinary teams to implement and verify real-world radar performance
  • Analysing system performance and trade-offs to refine design decisions across various operational scenarios
  • Using post-trial data to inform future radar development and provide evidence for system acceptance
  • Applying systems engineering principles to drive end-to-end radar solution development

What we're looking for:

  • A strong mathematical and engineering background with a problem-solving mindset
  • Proficiency in simulation and modelling tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, Python, MathCAD or similar
  • Understanding of real-world radar system limitations and performance variables
  • A relevant STEM degree or equivalent practical experience in radar, modelling or systems engineering
