Management Accountant

Norwich (Hybrid)

Salary: £36,000+ per annum

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a part qualified Management Accountant to join a well-established and forward-thinking organisation. This role is ideal for someone who is progressing through their studies and keen to build on their technical accounting experience within a supportive finance team.

Based in modern offices in Norwich with excellent transport links and parking, this position offers the opportunity to gain broad exposure across the finance function and develop the skills needed to support future qualification and career growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review monthly management accounts and supporting schedules
  • Support with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Review reconciliations, journals, and balance sheets, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Assist with audit preparation and respond to queries
  • Manage supplier payments and support wider finance functions
  • Contribute to process improvements to enhance reporting efficiency
  • Support team development and share best practice across the finance function
  • Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders, maintaining strong working relationships

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Strong understanding of management accounting and financial reporting
  • Experience with reconciliations, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and lookups
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite
  • Studying ACCA, CIMA or ACA (or QBE with relevant experience)
  • Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure

Desirable

  • Experience within a large or multi-entity organisation
  • Familiarity with modern accounting systems
  • Exposure to process improvement or systems implementation projects
