Location: Norwich
Salary: 45,000 - 55,000 + Benefits

A growing and well-regarded acoustic consultancy is seeking an experienced Senior Acoustic Consultant to join its Norwich office. This position offers an exciting chance for a seasoned acoustician to lead complex project work, mentor junior staff, and contribute to expanding the company's footprint throughout the East of England.

In this senior role, you will take responsibility for both building and environmental acoustics projects, overseeing delivery from start to finish. You'll maintain strong client relationships, provide high-level technical expertise, and work across sectors including residential, commercial, infrastructure, and education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver environmental noise studies and building acoustics assessments

  • Produce detailed technical reports, modelling outputs, and noise impact assessments

  • Manage important client accounts and support wider business development

  • Mentor and guide junior members of the team

  • Provide specialist advice to planners, developers, architects, and design teams

  • Ensure project work aligns with relevant standards such as BS4142, BS8233, and ProPG



Required Skills & Experience

  • A minimum of 4 years' experience within acoustic consultancy

  • Strong technical understanding of building acoustics and/or environmental noise

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience using acoustic modelling tools such as SoundPLAN, CadnaA, or Odeon

  • Degree in Acoustics, Physics, Environmental Science, Engineering, or similar

  • Full UK driving licence
