Interim Credit Controller

Your new company
Hays are working with a well established and bus production business based North of Norwich. This organisation is doing extremely well financially and is looking for support in their finance team for at least 3 months

Your new role
The purpose of the role will be to manage the collection of debts and oversee the sales invoicing process. Specifically you will be:

  • Raising all sales invoices and credit notes in a prompt and timely manner
  • Ensuring all customers pay to terms
  • Dealing with customer invoice queries
  • Setting up new accounts in line with Company Procedures
  • Management of cash sales
  • Managing and controlling open deliveries and returns
  • Posting and allocating receipts from customers on a daily basis
  • Development and management of credit control procedures and policies
  • Regular communication with the commercial team in relation to problem accounts
  • Carry out additional duties to meet the needs of the business
  • Reporting
  • Assist the team with spreadsheet analysis and month end reporting as required
  • Produce monthly sales analysis reports, ensuring data is complete and accurate
  • Monitoring and reporting of credit status on customers
  • Regular reporting to the Financial Controller of the aged debtors, including trends and problem accounts


This is a full time role working 37.5 hours a week between Monday and Friday. This is an office based role and does not offer any home working.

What you'll need to succeed
You must have previous experience in a similar collections or credit control role and must have excellent communication skills. You must also have strong IT skills and ideally have previous exposure to SAP but this is not essential.
