Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing day-to-day site activities and ensuring adherence to plans and specifications.
- Conducting site surveys, setting out duties, and levelling work.
- Coordinating with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution.
- Implementing health and safety standards on-site and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Preparing site reports, maintaining diaries, and routing progress updates.
- Ensuring quality control procedures are followed and all works meet project specifications.
- Managing and resolving any unexpected technical difficulties and other issues that arise.
Job Requirements:
- Experience in site engineering within the highways sector.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and techniques.
- Proficiency in using engineering software and tools for setting out and surveying.
- Understanding of health and safety procedures and regulations in a construction environment.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Relevant engineering qualification or equivalent experience.
