Operations Technician

Salary £28,598 to £31,022 per annum

Grade D

37 hours per week

Fixed-term contract for 12 months

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed individual to assist with the maintenance of the Broads National Park.

The successful candidate will join the Construction team, which is largely responsible for dredging, piling, fen management, and waterways maintenance tasks.

Applicants will hold a current driving licence, have excellent boat handling skills and large plant experience, including excavators over 10 tonnes. Practical construction experience operating heavy plant machinery in wetland environments is highly advantageous. The role involves regular teamworking on waterways, wetlands, and remote locations. The ability to work outside in all weather conditions as part of a team for long periods is essential.

As a mobile member of staff, the daily work base will vary across the Broads executive area. Transport will be provided.

The closing date for applications is midday on 11 September 2025.

Interviews will be held at the Dockyard, Griffin Lane, Thorpe St Andrew, on 18 September 2025.
