Credit Controller

Overview:
An excellent opportunity for either an experienced Credit Controller or someone with strong transferable skills seeking to build a career in finance. You will manage customer accounts, ensuring timely payments and supporting wider credit control functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage customer accounts within agreed credit terms.
- Maintain sales ledger records, process payments, invoices, and credit notes.
- Chase outstanding debts and resolve invoice queries.
- Set up and review customer accounts and conduct credit checks.
- Produce customer statements, credit reports, and maintain credit insurance records.
- Liaise with internal teams and customers to maintain accurate account information.
- Support legal proceedings related to credit control where necessary.
Candidate Profile:
- Some finance, administration, or customer service experience, or proven credit control experience.
- Confident communicator, organised, detail-oriented, and proactive.
- Familiar with Microsoft Office (Excel and Word); Kerridge and Sage experience advantageous.
- Ability to work independently under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong numerical, technical, and problem-solving skills.
- Full UK driving licence desirable.
