Location: must be able to work hybrid in Norwich
We are seeking a skilled Snowflake Database Administrator to support critical data infrastructure for a major client leveraging modern cloud platforms. This role offers exposure to cutting-edge data technologies and the opportunity to work on high-impact projects in a fast-paced, enterprise-scale environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and manage Snowflake accounts, data security, and governance
- Maintain database objects and virtual warehouses
- Monitor database performance and carry out tuning
- Implement disaster recovery, backups, and data replication strategies
- Use Snowflake Data Exchange and Marketplace for data sharing
- Write and optimise SQL (ANSI + Snowflake-specific extensions)
- Support cross-platform DB administration (e.g. SQL Server, Exadata, Teradata)
Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience with Snowflake administration
- Strong SQL skills and performance tuning expertise
- Solid understanding of AWS and related services
- Background in database administration and cloud-based infrastructure
- Familiarity with data governance and security best practices
