Are you an experienced Electrical Development Engineer with a passion for innovation, battery technology, and new product development? About the Role:

As the Electrical Development Engineer, you'll be the technical lead for electrical systems within the Innovation & NPD team. You'll spearhead the development of advanced battery-powered systems, support product compliance, and contribute to customer trials, technical documentation, and product launches.

This role suits someone who thrives in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment and enjoys seeing their ideas come to life in real-world applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead electrical development of new powered and battery-operated products, focusing on Li-Ion technology.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to specify, test, and validate prototypes.
  • Support customer field trials and provide technical insights to commercial teams.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Troubleshoot complex electrical issues and support warranty investigations.
  • Deliver internal and external training on new technologies and equipment.
  • Contribute to marketing content by highlighting product features and benefits.

What We're Looking For:

  • Degree-qualified in Electrical Engineering, Battery Systems, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of electrical schematics, technical documentation, and compliance standards.
  • Proven experience in NPD, ideally within powered or battery-operated equipment.
  • Excellent communication skills - able to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a passion for continuous improvement.
  • Full UK driving licence and valid passport.

Desirable:

  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Familiarity with media content creation for technical products.
