Core duties include
- Lead and carry out assembly of mechanical components, sub-assemblies and structural frameworks for bespoke projects.
- Interpret CAD models and detailed engineering drawings to build to specification and tolerance.
- Provide technical input during prototype builds and production runs; troubleshoot and resolve design or process issues promptly.
- Support quality control activities to ensure components meet company and regulatory standards.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and help implement practical process improvements.
- Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship level 3 or equivalent technical qualification.
- Substantial hands-on experience in a mechanical/manufacturing workshop
- Competent in reading and applying engineering drawings and CAD models.
- Strong practical assembly, fabrication and problem-solving skills.
