Our Client is a specialist manufacturer operating in the bespoke engineering sector, delivering custom-built components, sub-assemblies and prototype systems for demanding technical applications. Working alongside the Workshop Manager, this role has been created to strengthen production capability and maintain delivery of high-quality, bespoke products as the business grows.

Core duties include
  • Lead and carry out assembly of mechanical components, sub-assemblies and structural frameworks for bespoke projects.
  • Interpret CAD models and detailed engineering drawings to build to specification and tolerance.
  • Provide technical input during prototype builds and production runs; troubleshoot and resolve design or process issues promptly.
  • Support quality control activities to ensure components meet company and regulatory standards.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and help implement practical process improvements.
Essential skills & experience
  • Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship level 3 or equivalent technical qualification.
  • Substantial hands-on experience in a mechanical/manufacturing workshop
  • Competent in reading and applying engineering drawings and CAD models.
  • Strong practical assembly, fabrication and problem-solving skills.
