Overview

We are seeking an experienced Panel Wirer to join a short-term contract supporting the build and wiring of control panels and electrical assemblies. The role is hands-on and suited to someone confident in working to engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and assembly documentation.



Responsibilities

  • Build and wire electrical control panels to engineering drawings and wiring schematics

  • Route, secure, and terminate wiring looms and harnesses

  • Install electrical components and sub-assemblies into panels and enclosures

  • Carry out continuity, insulation, and basic electrical testing

  • Fault-find and resolve wiring issues during build and test phases

  • Maintain accurate records and follow quality procedures

  • Work safely within workshop environments, adhering to H&S standards



Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in panel wiring, electrical assembly, or control panel build

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams

  • Competent with hand tools, crimping, and wiring techniques

  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills

  • Comfortable working independently or as part of a small team



Desirable Qualifications

  • Electrical qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 2/3, ONC, HNC, or equivalent)

  • Experience in industrial or R&D environments

  • Knowledge of basic electrical testing and inspection standards
