Role Responsibilities
  • Lead and grow the personal tax service line, managing client delivery, team performance, and profitability
  • Act as the strategic adviser to a wide variety of private clients, offering tailored tax planning and mitigation strategies
  • Oversee complex compliance work and ensure high standards of technical accuracy and client care
  • Develop and mentor a team of tax professionals, encouraging a culture of learning and progression
  • Collaborate with partners and other departments to deliver joined-up advice across the business
  • Contribute to business development and marketing initiatives, supporting the growth of the firm’s private client offering
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legislation and share insights across the team and client base
About the Firm

This is a strategic and client-facing role for a technically proficient and commercially astute tax professional. You'll be leading a talented personal tax team, overseeing compliance and advisory services for a wide-ranging client portfolio that includes high-net-worth individuals, business owners, trusts, landed estates, and non-UK domiciled individuals.

Your leadership will help shape the future direction of the team and support the delivery of high-value, forward-thinking advice.

Candidate Requirements
  • CTA and/or ACA qualified (or equivalent)
  • Proven track record operating at Senior Manager, Associate Director, or Director level in personal tax
  • Strong technical knowledge across personal tax, CGT, IHT, trusts, and residence/domicile rules
  • Demonstrated success in leading teams, managing complex client relationships, and delivering advisory work
  • Commercially minded with experience in growing and developing service lines
  • A collaborative, strategic thinker who is committed to professional excellence
  • Strong leadership, communication, and relationship management skills
