Mechanical Fitter
Salary: Basic up to £35,209 plus Benefits
Location: Norwich, Norfolk
A leading industrial service provider is currently looking for a Mechanical Fitter to join their organisation in the Norwich area. As a Mechanical Fitter you will be responsible for carrying out repairs to all types of industrial equipment including AC & DC Motors, Gearboxes, Pumps, Fan Units and other associated rotating equipment. 80% of you work will take place in the workshop and the rest of the time you will be visiting client sites in the local area.
Skills required for a Mechanical Fitter:
- Have a sound mechanical engineering knowledge and be able to identify and rectify faulty, worn or damaged components.
- Full understanding of pumps, motors, gearboxes, testing and inspection, fault-find, strip and dismantle.
- Be flexible to work within the workshop and at customer sites.
- It would be advantageous for the Mechanical Fitter to have basic electrical testing capability.
- Flexible and prepared to work the hours required in a demanding service orientated environment.
- Good awareness of health & safety standards.
- Happy to work on both a individual and team basis.
