Trainee Electrical Winder

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturday mornings and on call requirements

We're working with a Norwich based company specialising in the repair and testing of electric motors, gearboxes, and pumps, and they're looking for a dedicated Trainee Electrical Winder to join their close knit team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong work ethic, good time management, and a willingness to learn. No prior experience in electrical winding is required, full training will be provided.
The Role:
You'll work alongside experienced engineers to learn and carry out the rewinding and testing of various electro mechanical equipment. This includes motors, transformers, and stators, covering both AC and DC applications. The role also involves handling specialist machinery and ensuring all work meets health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strip and rewind AC DC motors, transformers, and other electro mechanical units
- Apply correct insulating and rewinding techniques
- Test rewound equipment and accurately record results
- Operate repair and testing equipment (surge testers, bake ovens, cranes, grinders)
- Complete job documentation accurately and promptly
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Follow all Health & Safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE
- Participate in on call duties and occasional Saturday work
What You'll Need:

- Full, clean UK driving licence
Desirable (but not essential):
- Basic understanding or experience of electrical or mechanical work
- Interest in engineering or hands on technical roles
