Are you a driven and customer-focused individual with a strong background in internal sales or trade counter support? We're working with a well-established and highly respected engineering company based in Norwich, who are looking to expand their internal sales team with the addition of a skilled Internal Sales Co-ordinator.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business that has been supporting its industry for over 100 years, offering a varied role where you'll engage directly with customers, provide technical product guidance, and support the wider sales function.

The Role:
As Internal Sales Co-ordinator, you'll be the first point of contact for inbound enquiries, working with customers to identify the right solutions, provide quotations, and manage the full order process from start to finish. You'll liaise with engineers and the service team, support the trade counter, and assist in generating leads for future service and installation work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handling telephone and email enquiries from customers
  • Generating quotes and processing orders and invoices
  • Providing product guidance, including valves, pipes and fittings
  • Assisting on the trade counter with sales and enquiries
  • Supporting the external sales team and other departments with pricing and product selection
  • Creating purchase orders and managing stock returns
  • Handling customer payments and resolving any complaints or issues
  • Maintaining accurate customer records and internal communications

What we're looking for:

  • Experience in a customer-facing sales role, ideally within a technical or trade environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable reading technical datasheets and interpreting product specifications
  • Computer literate with experience using Microsoft Office
  • Organised, methodical and capable of prioritising tasks in a busy environment
  • Confident handling multiple enquiries and offering a first-class service

Qualifications & Experience:

  • GCSE Maths or equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience in retail sales and/or customer service (preferred)
  • Knowledge of plumbing, mechanical or industrial products would be advantageous, but training will be provided
