Due to the continued success of this manufacturing business, they are looking to expand the engineering team in the Leicestershire region. This is a newly created role for a Maintenance Engineer who is competent in both Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, there will be opportunities to learn not only from your peers but through internal and external training courses. You will join a team of engineers where you can use your skills to make a difference to the production on site and be a part of the continued growth of the team. This award-winning company has been established for over 30 years and is a leading manufacturer in their industry with multiple sites across the UK.
They are offering a salary package circa 42,000 for a double days Monday - Friday role with the opportunity to increase with site experience.
Key Responsibilities for this Maintenance Engineer role:
- Maintain & enhance performance of all machinery
- Reduce engineering downtime, respond rapidly to machine failures & breakdowns
- Undertake projects and assist with all site installations
- To undertake, develop & improve planned maintenance schedules
- Open and clear lines of communication with management and fellow colleagues
- To prioritise work within the engineering department
Skills and Qualifications needed for this Maintenance Engineer role:
- NVQ3 / ONC / HNC Engineering Qualification
- Time served (apprenticeship trained) engineer
- F.M.C.G experience is preferable
- Fault finding on 3 phase control circuits (required)
- Experience controls systems (required)
- Experience with PLC's (preferred)
- Excellent attention to detail
