Site Agent - A47/A11 Thickthorn Junction

Permanent | Major Highways Project | Norfolk

Matchtech are recruiting for a Site Agent to join a leading tier 1 civil engineering contractor delivering the A47 to A11 Thickthorn Junction improvement scheme - a key National Highways project aimed at improving traffic flow and safety by Norwich (NR9 5NY).



The Role

As Site Agent, you'll take responsibility for the safe and efficient delivery of on-site works, managing site teams and subcontractors to ensure the project is completed on time, to budget, and to the highest quality standards.



Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day site operations across earthworks, drainage, and structures.

  • Lead and manage engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors.

  • Ensure compliance with HSEQ standards and company procedures.

  • Manage progress reporting, quality assurance, and site documentation.

  • Liaise with clients, designers, and stakeholders to maintain smooth delivery.

  • Support the Project Manager with planning, forecasting, and risk management.



About You

  • Proven experience delivering highways or major infrastructure projects.

  • Strong leadership and communication skills with a hands-on approach.

  • Sound knowledge of NEC contracts, CDM Regulations, and temporary works.

  • SMSTS, CSCS, and relevant civil engineering qualification (HNC/D or degree).
