About the Role:

We are seeking a Manufacturing & Field Support Coordinator to join a growing engineering and production team specialising in advanced environmental monitoring systems. This is a hands-on and varied position that combines workshop-based assembly with UK-wide field support for installations, servicing, and trials.

The ideal candidate will be technically minded, practical, and comfortable working both independently on-site and collaboratively within a small, dynamic team. You'll play a key role in ensuring every system deployed meets the highest standards of performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble and test electronic and mechanical components for environmental monitoring and IoT systems.

  • Follow build procedures and checklists to ensure consistent product quality and traceability.

  • Perform functional testing, calibration, and configuration of sensors, communication modules (GSM, LoRa, NB-IoT, Satellite), and power systems.

  • Conduct field installations, servicing, and trials across the UK (company van provided).

  • Support packing, logistics, and quality control for outgoing orders.

  • Maintain accurate records of production activities, stock levels, and component usage.

  • Assist with workshop organisation, stock management, and maintenance activities.

  • Collaborate with engineering and R&D teams to provide feedback and suggest improvements.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Background or qualification in electronics, engineering, or a technical discipline (college-level or higher).

  • Practical experience using hand tools, soldering equipment, or electrical testing devices.

  • Comfortable working in both workshop and field environments, often autonomously.

  • Basic understanding of electronics, wiring, and assembly procedures.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

  • Full UK driving licence required.

  • Interest in environmental monitoring, sustainability, or IoT systems is advantageous.
