Company & Project: Apple Technical Recruitment are working with an award winning national consultancy operating across multiple sectors including Local Government, Pharmaceutical/Science, Healthcare and Mixed-Use.
The successful business are working on a major healthcare project and are looking for a Project Controls Manager to join them working across Norfolk.

Duties & Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be working across the programme and supply chain to provide embed effective controls to monitor progress, manage issues and mitigate risk and to drive delivery to best enable successful project outcomes.

• Build a clear structure that brings together data from all project control functions.
• Lead cost estimating sessions to agree on a realistic, tested budget that offers good value for money.
• Work closely with the main contractor and client to keep the project on track and meet key performance targets.
• Monitor project costs using knowledge of estimating, budgeting, contingency planning, and procurement.
• Oversee the master schedule and apply quality checks from updates with the client and contractor.
• Lead the change management process, making sure all changes are tracked, reviewed, and approved quickly.
• Spot trends and root causes of issues, and report actions to keep the project on track and deliver best value to the clients.
• Organise and lead planning workshops to create a realistic project schedule.
• Understand procurement principals and make sure material and equipment orders are planned to meet installation time lines.
• Manage the risk process, including both high-level and detailed assessments to support cost and schedule accuracy.
• Keep all key stakeholders informed and ensure they approve the plan and receive regular progress updates.
• Set up a reliable update process to manage schedules, costs, risks, and changes effectively.

Desirable Experience:

• Demonstrable experience as a Project Controls Manager working for a consultancy.
• 5-10years+ experience in Project Controls or Planning roles.
• Aconex and Prism Software Knowledge.
• Excellent technical knowledge and communication skills.
• Previous Roles: Planning Manager OR Senior Planner OR Project Planner Or Senior Planning Manager OR Planner OR Site Planner.

Qualifications & Skills: Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management or comparable qualification.
