I'm recruiting on behalf of a start/scale-up business in Norwich who are looking to recruit an experienced / Lead Mechanical Design Engineer on a contract basis (outside IR35).

The work involves design, analysis/simulation and project management for a company in the green technology space.

Whilst most work is on-site, the business are able to offer some (1-2 days per week) remote working.

ROLE: Lead Mechanical Engineer

LOCATION:Norwich, Bowthorpe

DURATION:6 months

RATE: up to 60ph (outside IR35)

START: ASAP

Skills required for the Lead / Senior Mechanical Design Engineer are:

Design for high-volume / low cost manufacture
Background in motors, green technology, power electronics or electrical systems
Team leadership / project management experience
Solidworks expertise
Thermal and structural analysis / simulation
