Technique Recruitment Solutions are a specialist Engineering & Manufacturing recruitment company working with our non-food client who are a long-established worldwide manufacturing company based in Norwich. Are seeking several fulltime ongoing temporary & temporary to permanent manufacturing assembly hands on operators in our clients semi-automated manufacturing assembly team on either their weekly rotating days/lates shifts or night shifts, ideally from a previous manufacturing background.

Proposed commencement date is the 05.01.26

Long term temp role - 12 weeks initially then reviewed, scope for the role to become permanent for the right candidates who succeed in the role.

Fulltime 40hrs a week plus overtime.
Starting pay rate: Based around experience and uplift in the pay rate for the night shift and overtime.

Please note this client cannot offer VISA sponsorship at this time, only candidates with full Right to Work in the UK and relevant experience will be considered.

To be responsible for general production & Manufacturing duties within our client’s busy non-food manufacturing area, including working around the Production Machines in a safe manner and in line with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to ensuring that the machines are continually operating correctly and achieving optimum performance in terms of quality and output.

Tasks and Activities

Working in our clients semi-automated manufacturing assembly team.

1) Manual hands-on role involving assembling clients products in a manufacturing environment with their non-food related products, Labelling, and Palletising of product in line with the SOPs relating to specific lines and products.

2) Carrying out quality checks; involving hourly inspection of the product, quarantining and back checking components and completing associated documentation. Where poor quality is found; restarting production to the correct standards.

3) Running machinery once training is given and attending to remedial line stoppages, minimising downtime throughout the shift.

4) Safely starting and stopping auxiliary assembly equipment when required.

5) Collecting materials and continually fill the hoppers throughout the shift as required.

6) Emptying waste bins and recycling and weighing scrap.

7) General housekeeping activities and ensuring the work area is kept clean and tidy.

8) Any other responsible duties as required by the Team Leader that falls within the scope of this role and the department.

The jobholder is responsible for operating machinery, equipment and materials and ensuring a good standard of quality product is being produced.

The role is based in a non-food manufacturing environment. Standard PPE is required (safety shoes, garments, hairnet, and hearing protection) to be worn daily. After training the job holder may occasionally work alone as part of the role.
