Reed Engineering are working with a great, long established company who are in need of an experienced Production Manager to contribute to their market-leading specialist manufacturing business in the delivery of Architectural Glazing Solutions. This role offers the opportunity to oversee the entire manufacturing process, ensuring efficient, timely and high-quality production while reporting directly to the Operations Manager.

Day-to-Day of the Role:

• Maintain health, safety, environmental and quality compliance, ensuring the factory team achieves the company's procedures and objectives.
• Ensure all aspects of the contracts are manufactured on time and in line with the production manuals and the production planner.
• Manage multiple deadlines and co-ordinate multiple projects simultaneously, facilitating communication between site teams and design & procurement departments.
• Oversee the maintenance of all machinery with a proactive approach.
• Handle employee issues, including questions and disciplinary actions.
• Monitor and control factory hours and manage supply chain matters to ensure smooth operations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Extensive experience managing a manufacturing team within an architectural glazing environment.
• Proven people management skills with the ability to influence and mentor.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.
• Extensive experience in programming CNC machines and a thorough understanding of cutting sheets for the fabrication is essential for this role.
