Keeler Recruitment are working with a client based in West Norwich to recruit an experienced Payroll Assistant. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to take ownership of the payroll process and play a key role within a supportive finance team.

The Role:

In this position, you'll be responsible for ensuring the smooth and accurate processing of multiple payrolls (weekly and monthly). Your duties will include:

  • Importing timesheets through to final payment and HMRC submissions.
  • Handling payroll queries promptly and professionally
  • Managing pension contributions, reconciliations, and related reporting.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant payroll legislation and internal procedures.
  • Building strong relationships with third-party payroll providers and other internal departments.
  • Conducting pre-payroll checks to ensure accuracy and consistency across all data.

About You:

  • Previous experience in payroll (weekly or monthly) is highly beneficial.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work accurately to deadlines.
  • Confident using Microsoft Excel and Word, with solid general IT skills.
